Crucible Alba Group purchased a former abattoir site and secured planning permission for a 65 bedroom hotel and 10,000 sq ft retail unit both of which were pre-let for 25 years to Premier Inn and M&S Simply Food.

We were involved in the transaction from inception to completion and agreed a forward funding in excess of £10 million with Aberdeen Asset Management.

The buildings were completed on budget and snag free and both occupiers trade very well from the site with the M&S Simply Food being one of the strongest performing food stores per sq ft in Europe.
